What will happen if the disease is not treated

What happens if gum disease it is not treated?

If left untreated your gums can start to come away from your teeth and this can cause “pockets” which harbor bacteria. This also leads to the loss of bone beneath the gums. Once enough bone is lost you may notice even more gaps between the teeth and your teeth may start to feel loose or even fall out. As gum disease progresses it get more and more difficult to treat and many of the effects are permanent.
