Dr Layton qualified as a Dentist from the University of Bristol in 2015. His early years of practice were dedicated to exploring various dental specialties including Paediatric Dentistry, Restorative Dentistry, Special Care and Sedation Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at institutions such as Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and the Royal Surrey County Hospital.
Josh undertook his specialty registrar training in the specialty of Orthodontics at the renowned Eastman Dental Hospital, University College London Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Alongside Josh’s clinical registrar training, he completed a Masters in Clinical Dentistry (MClinDent) in Orthodontics at University College London (UCL). His journey to become a Specialist Orthodontist culminated with becoming a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, where he earnt his Membership in Orthodontics (MOrth).
Now, Josh divides his clinical time between NHS and specialist practice, supervising and teaching current training orthodontic registrars at Eastman Dental Hospital. Josh is passionate about transforming patient’s smiles, prioritising clear communication and a warm demeanour to build trust and connection with his patients.

Outside of orthodontics, he embraces his passions for film, fashion and music while passionately supporting his favourite football team, Crystal Palace FC, along with enjoying skiing and tennis.
