David Ivall

Biography

David is an experienced multi site operator who is well versed in both Retail (B2C) and (B2B) sectors. An Engineer by degree, he developed his early career at BP Oil UK’s Retail team before joining BP’s business development team in Europe. He supported the implementation of the downstream Joint Venture with Mobil across Europe before returning to the UK where he led BP’s  London Market of 200 service stations, launching BP Connect and opening 70 BP Connect stores..

Following this, David joined the Royal Mail to lead the transformation to a single daily delivery as Area General Manager for East Anglia and then took on the role of UK Franchise Operations Director for Kall Kwik.  

David joined Smilepod as Finance and Operations Director in 2012 bringing all his skills and experience  to drive sales and profitable growth across the entire Smilepod business, he has been Managing Director since 2017.

In his spare time, David plays the guitar. He also enjoys golf and tennis.

I had an emergency appointment today I was worried about which hygienist appointment to book but the lovely receptionist instructed me on what to do for ‘better value’ and to save money very genuine and helpful.Hygienist Aline Naylor was absolutely amazing and helpful. Took me step by step, of all the measures I need to take. When I was overthinking my issue she explained everything to me and was supper friendly and kind. I learnt a lot and she always asked if there’s anywhere else I would want her to work over. 100% great customer service and an amazing dentist.Thank you again Smile-pod Moorgate

I have been a client of the clinic for several years: since I had my braces in 2019. Doctor Raj was the one who gifted me straight teeth and made sure to cheer me up every time I came for my visits. The pricing of the clinic was very transparent: I knew in advance how much I would be paying for the whole package, with no surprises as additional charges. The clinic gave me the supplementary materials included in the package I paid for, as well as all the instructions on what to be doing between my sessions.I also had a pleasant experience every time i went to the clinic, all thanks to the kind and considerate receptionists, who welcomed me warmly and made me feel comfortable while I was waiting. I would meet Agneszka most of the time, so in a matter of several visits, I felt like I was visiting a familiar face. Which felt pleasant.After the experience with the braces, I became a client for my regular hygiene cleaning. I loved the gentle and caring approach by Inga Lankelyte. She made the sessions so seamless and stress-free. Since my first ever visit to her, I felt I was in good hands. Moreover, Inga would give me an honest and unbiased opinion on the condition of my teeth, making sure I don’t overdo it with treatments or try to fix what actually is in a good state. I can't say enough great things about Dr Stephen Nkansah and his wonderful assistant at Smilepod Soho.Over the course of my treatment, Dr Stephen has not only significantly improved the health of my teeth but also the appearance of my smile. From my first appointment, Dr Stephen took the time to carefully explain my treatment plan, answered all my questions, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the process. He is an incredibly skilled professional and very patient. During my Invisalign treatment, I had a special request to remove my attachments for an upcoming event. Dr Stephen was incredibly understanding and supportive. Not only did they accommodate my request, but they also made sure to replace the attachments afterward without any hesitation. Always wonderful experience with SmilePod and Dr. Erica Zelesco. Receptionist are friendly, welcoming and always helpful if things change.
